My Girlfriend's Brother is written in third person POV and is from the perspective of our two main characters, Adam and Kyle. It fits well into the LGBT Romance genre. It is a MM romance and is quite steamy, so I would recommend 18+.

This is a quick friends to lovers romance, taking about ninety minutes read time. The story is interesting enough, but I had a little trouble with the fact that Adam slept with Kyle's sister in a long term relationship before sleeping with Kyle. Casual dating is a far cry from a committed, intimate relationship and that part was a bit of an ick factor for me. I also found the characters hard to connect or empathize with. Adam comes across as something of a pushover and the "dude/bro" speak is a little over the top. Kyle is an okay character, but other than the fact that he's in college and in love with Adam, there doesn't seem to be much to know. Sarah is beyond unlikable and Kyle and Sarah's parents have to be the most laid back parents ever.
The blurb was a bit misleading on some things and left me a bit confused as I read - almost like I was reading a different story. The one I read had potential and does have a happy for now ending, but it felt like it was missing something.
The writing is a little amateurish, but the author does show promise and I'll be interested to see how the writing progressing in future books, this one just wasn't for me.
