✱✱ Book Review ✱✱ The Groom And His Groom by Walker Frost

I was in the mood for some comedy this evening, so I curled up with Walker Frost's, The Groom And His Groom.

Marriage Might Be The Only Way To Get The Guy... Even If Neither Remember Getting Married

Just like the rest of the nation, Charlie Adams is crazy for Beck Sutherland. The only difference is that Charlie saw him first – and long before he was a star batter for the Giants, too. The two were roommates together at college, and even played together on the college baseball team.

Now, Charlie’s finally made it to pro baseball too. Joining the Giants with his old buddy marks a dream come true, but… unfortunately, being around Beck stirs up a thousand old feelings he figured he had a handle on. When a crazy night of partying in Vegas results in a knot they never meant to tie, Charlie has to face up to those feelings in a way he never thought would happen.

But what happens if Charlie’s not the only one with embedded old feelings? And what if there’s a lot more to Beck Sutherland than even his old friend knows about? There’s no telling what will happen – but one thing’s for sure. They’re going to need to knock this situation out of the park if they want to walk away unscathed.

Momma Says: 3.5 out of 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Groom and His Groom is a light-hearted, quick read. The story is fast-paced, so much so, that it did feel a bit rushed at times. Charlie and Beck are likable characters and I enjoyed the banter between them. When they wake up in Vegas, married, poor Beck is a little out of sorts. Considering that this pair has been friends since college and are now teammates, they do have good chemistry and Beck's little speeches as he makes certain revelations about himself were nothing short of adorable. If you're looking for a light-hearted, entertaining story with low angst, then this is one to check out and it's the perfect length for a quick, bedtime read.
