A little bit dark and a lot emotional, sprinkled with a few chuckles to keep it from getting too heavy, and a whole lot of steam. This is my first read by this author and I have to say, color me impressed. The story is well written, fast-paced, and had me hooked from page one. Zander is a wonderful mix of infuriating and lovable, and he and Taylor are so good together, even when they're going through the motions of push and pull as they try to figure each other out. The whole story is gripping and entertaining, and that epilogue! It takes a lot to surprise me, but I certainly didn't see that coming and I can't wait to see what's next in this series.
