Scarred is intense, gritty, emotional, and not for the faint of heart. It's also a thoroughly compelling read from beginning to end. Between the writing style, storyline, and characters, there is no way to read this one and not become emotionally invested in Roxy's story. I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat, crying, cursing, and even smiling - not necessarily in that order, and sometimes all at once. This one is packed full of action, suspense, anguish, steam, love, hatred, and even hope. Oh, and the twists just keep coming. To sum it up, I'd say take a deep breath, dive in, and hold on tight because this is one roller coaster ride of a story from the very first page all the way to the jaw-dropping end. An ending that has this reader chomping at the bit for what comes next in this series.
