Something of Him is Jeffrey's story. His loves, losses, friends, and life in general as he searches for that special someone. The problem is he seems to be one of those grass is always greener on the other side types of people, at least that's how he came across. Part of that feeling may be the way the story is presented. It jumps around through Jeffrey's twenties, and when I say it jumps around, I mean back and forth. The first three chapters are years 25, 28, and 23 - in that order. The book continues in that style and while that may work for some, it just didn't work very well for me with this one. We get bits and pieces of different romances or different times in romances, and I never really got a feel for most of them. I get that a large part of the story is his relationship with one person in particular and the loss of that relationship, but with so much jumping around, it's hard to get into the emotion of the story. The book did have potential to be a moving and emotional story, but in the end, it was just an okay read for me.
