Onyxia nodded as she turned and walked out of the barrack room. Several others followed her, but none walked as regal and proud as she did. She did not hug the child nor cuddle it—simply carried it like a burden that should be disposed of.

Two of his Hell’s Elite guarded the gate, and both men met their master’s eyes. Lucifer gave them a slight nod to allow her exit and the vast, twenty-foot-tall iron and wood doors swung open.

The small progression continued until they reach a jagged rock cliff, angled dangerously over the bowels of his realm—the Hell Fires River flowed below, hotter than any fire or heat imagined, the final resting place of those born of Hell. One might consider such an end a horrible thing. Residents in Hell knew it offered the one thing they would never be allowed otherwise—escape. Freedom. A final ending to an eternal existence of being slaves, objects of torture and having no worth, even here. To be thrust into the Hell’s Fire River, the only possible end the citizens and prisoners of Hell could obtain, a peace in not existing.
