Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you're familiar with the Montana Howling series, then you know who Benny is. We get his story in this fourth installment, and I'll admit I had a hard time liking this character. He's not a bad guy, he just really needs to assert himself and stand up for what he believes in. Benny does a lot of growing in this book, and thankfully, he redeems himself. Of course, he makes some mistakes along the way and nearly loses his chance for something great, but I felt like those mistakes were necessary for this character. Benny's road to redemption leads to an almost but not quite love triangle, which is when we meet Amber. I liked Amber from the get-go. She's strong and sassy, she looks for the positive, and she doesn't care to speak her mind. And, she's exactly what Benny needs to get his head on straight. We don't see much about the Human Order in this fourth of the series. They are mentioned, and there's a little bit of cliffy on that storyline, but that doesn't affect Benny's story and his happy ending. As far as romance in this series, each book gives us a new couple and can be read as a standalone, including this one. However, there is a continuing storyline about the Human Order throughout the series, and I'm interested to see how that all plays out. All in all, another solid addition to the series.
