Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐
Legacy of a Corrupted Mind is everything a tribute to Poe should be. This group of authors has breathed new life into some of our favorite characters from the works of Edgar Allen Poe. Rather than give away the book's secrets, I'll just speak about the collection as a whole. These authors have done a terrific job with this set. The book is dark, but if you've ever read Poe, you shouldn't expect anything else. It is lengthy, which is perfect for stretching it out over several days and giving yourself a few chills. Usually, with multiple author selections, there are always some selections that maybe don't stand out as well as others, but this one is all done quite well. Of course, there are parts that I liked better than others, but I can't say that I disliked any of them. I was already familiar with some of the authors, so it was nice to read something new from past favorites, plus I found a few new to me authors to check out. The most interesting thing to me is that this is not a retelling of Poe's stories. I mean, let's face it, that's been done several times. Instead, Legacy of a Corrupted Mind pays homage to the author and his many characters, and it's done brilliantly.
