Broken Rules is the debut novel from Bestselling Author Hanleigh Bradley.
Expectations. Rules. Perfection.
Aurora's lives her life by someone else's rule book until one night she meets Landon Peters, the unprofessional, sexy as hell, British billionaire CEO. He's seductive, downright naughty and yet somehow still a perfectly English gentleman.
Together they begin an adventure of rule breaking, undeniable chemistry and hot sex. It's a whirlwind of giving and losing control.
But what happens when the rules are broken and shocking secrets are revealed? Will this London Socialite and British Bad Boy be able to put their broken rules aside or will everything erupt in scandal?
Broken Rules is the first book in a four book complete series.
A one night stand with CEO bad boy and all round "manwhore" Landon Peters will change Aurora's life, if she'll take a risk and break some rules.
Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐
Broken Rules is a well-written, engaging debut novel, and my first read by Hanleigh Bradley. I have to say from what I've seen here, this talented author has set the bar high for future books. Landon and Aurora are great characters, and the storyline is a mix of fun romp and intense attraction.
I really like that the romance isn't instalove. Instant attraction, yes, and the chemistry is off the charts, but I don't get the instalove vibe here. What I do get is the potential for the kind of love we'd all be lucky to have. If you've ever met someone who you just felt comfortable around, comfortable enough to tell them your secrets and let them really see you, then you'll understand this couple.
The title is perfect because that's what this one is all about, breaking the rules. Both have them for different reasons - his, self-imposed for his idea of freedom, and hers, set by her parents to keep her as perfect as possible. And once this pair sets about breaking those rules, they do it in spectacular fashion.
On the surface, Broken Rules is a billionaire romance without the Cinderella angle, and we get all the heat and whirlwind start of a relationship that you'd expect from the trope. Landon is the typical billionaire playboy until he meets the one that he can't get enough of. Aurora is innocent and itching to break the chains set by her parents. When you look at it that way, it's nothing we haven't seen, but on a deeper level, there's just something compelling about this couple. Whether it's the writing or great characters or both, once I started reading this one, I was hooked.
This is the first in a series, and while it doesn't leave us with a cliffy, it is open-ended, and I'm anxious to get into the next book to see where this romance goes.
