Every new piece of information comes with a price, hopefully it's one Fiona and company can continue to pay. The ball brings even more danger and Fiona and her guys learn a bit more about just how powerful she may be. The question is whether or not she's powerful enough to hold off the slayers when they're becoming bolder and bolder.

Fiona gets a quick getaway to reflect and refuel after all the turmoil at the ball. Of course, her guys aren't gonna let her go alone, which means some one on one time with Ren. The problem is that means no one is watching over the rest of the guys and Priscilla while they're gone. And that leads to another big cliffy. Becca Fanning surely knows how to leave a reader on the edge of her seat, and I'm so thoroughly invested in these characters that I just can't get enough of them.

Fiona gets some Jasper time. I do love that fox! She's growing and coming more and more into her own, and she's learning just how strong she really is. Of course, there's still plenty of tension and suspense, including one of their own being in danger. Where is the gentle bear and what will it take to find them? Now it's time to push the envelope and determine who is a traitor and who can be trusted. And there's another question - who is the wolf on the wall and what do they want?
