✱✱Audio Book Review✱✱ Blaze by Chelle Bliss

Blaze
Men of Inked: Heatwave, Book 4
By: Chelle Bliss
Narrated by: Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke
Publisher: Bliss Ink LLC

Lily Gallo prided herself on her pristine reputation. A dedicated bookworm. An awkward goody-two-shoes. Lover of fiction more than reality.

Jet Michaels had always had a broken moral compass. A cocky egomaniac. An unashamed womanizer. Craving adventure instead of responsibility.

Lily never expected to come face-to-crotch with her old high-school crush, and she never dreamed he’d make her an offer she couldn’t refuse. But what was supposed to be a platonic arrangement quickly spiraled out of control.

Can the inexperienced nerdy girl tame the notorious player? Or will he peel back her pages, exposing the wildcat hidden underneath?

Blaze is the fourth full-length stand-alone novel in the Men of Inked Heatwave series by USA Today best-selling author Chelle Bliss.

Momma Says: 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I don't know how I've missed the Men of Inked series - either I've been living under a rock or my book reading buddies have some 'splaining to do - but now that I've met some of the characters, I'll be remedying that problem soon.
In Blaze, Jet and Lily are front and center and this romance is just all kinds of swoon-worthy. Now, I don't know if Jet lived up to his reputation in earlier books, but it is mentioned here. As for the here and now, he's a brilliant combination of sweet and sexy. He's all alpha male but comfortable enough in his skin to put Lily first. Speaking of Lily, I absolutely loved when she has her big epiphany about her life.
This is the audiobook, and Chelle Bliss couldn't have chosen narrators any better. The book is done in dual narration with chapters alternating between Lily and Jet, and Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke are terrific. Samantha Brentmoor captures Lily's innocence and doubt combined with her struggle to assert herself perfectly, and if you haven't had the pleasure of listening to Jason Clarke, you don't know what you're missing. You can't help but swoon over that voice, and he gives us the sexy and the emotional in equal measure.
As I mentioned, this is my first experience with the Gallo family, but it will not be my last. I definitely have some catching up to do as I wait for the next in the Heatwave series.
