Christmas Playboy is part of the Cocky Suits Chicago world, and it was so much fun to visit with so many of my favorite characters while falling in love with Matthew and Karli - and a lot of them make an appearance. Don't worry though, this one can still be read as a standalone, and it's a must-read holiday romance.
This book turned out to be exactly what I needed this week. We're coming up on a week that's hard for me and being able to fall into this story was just perfect. The banter between Karli and Matthew is absolutely hilarious, and Alex and Sloane certainly brought their A-game when it comes to swoons. Matthew is one of the best combinations of arrogant and sweet that I've read in a while, and the chemistry is off the charts.
I'm trying really hard to avoid spoilers here, but I've gotta say that in a series of big redeeming gestures, this one ranks right at the top. It's as silly as it is sweet, and so completely over the top that it pretty much had to earn forgiveness. To sum it up, the story is fast-paced, the romance is both swoon-worthy and hot, the characters are great additions to the Hunter Group family, and the dialogue is full of all the snark, charm, and wit that I've come to expect from these guys.
