As I understand it, this book wasn't part of the original plan, but after enough requests, pleas, and threats of mutiny, Marcus got his story. And as usual, Melanie Moreland blew me away. Marcus was a standout character in The Boss, and his book was everything I could've asked for. He's everything Missy needs after what she's been through. He's fierce, comforting, protective, and when the time is right, he brings the heat. Then there's Missy, and she's strong and determined despite what's happened to her. She's a strong woman for a strong man, and these two have a chemistry that's almost magnetic right from the start. I was rooting for them from he moment Marcus put that blanket around Missy's shoulders. I'll stop there before I give away any of the book's secrets. Suffice it to say that this second Men of Hidden Justice book doesn't disappoint, and after the little lead-in about Julian, I'm anxious to see what's next.
