EXCERPTS (Exclusive Excerpt):
“I have paid my dues to Antonio and Bill by taking risky assignments before. Now I have a family with two young boys. Who is going to look after them if something happens to me?” asked Renzo.
“Nothing is going to happen to you. What happened to Alex was an accident because he was not careful. You have done these things before, you have experience, and you will be okay. Besides, you know that Bill always takes care of his own people, no matter where they are.”
“I just set up surveillance equipment. I got shot for Bill. I went to prison for Bill, I paid my dues, and I deserve to have a family and be on the safe side,” said Renzo.
“Here is your ticket. You fly to Chicago in two days, on Saturday morning. Sam will meet you at the airport, fill you in, and provide you with all the necessities. But remember, do not tell anyone where you are going or what your assignment is.”
Renzo picked up the ticket and left. Jack called Antonio and briefed him about the meeting. He explained that Renzo was not happy, but he had agreed to go.
“We will find our mole soon,” Jack said.

Renzo returned home and explained the situation to his wife.
“I think they have a mole in Chicago and are sending me there as bait to catch the mole.”
“Just tell them you can’t go, and if they insist, you should quit. We don’t need them anymore. I can find a job in any restaurant I want, and you are an engineer, and there are so many things you can do,” said Terza.
“You know that’s not possible. Bill kills people for fun. He is looking for an excuse to order a hit. I tried my best not to go, but I have to.”
“This is all my fault,” said Terza. “You were out of work for only a couple of weeks when I casually told Cathy that my husband needed a job. She told me that you should go and see her brother. She didn’t even ask what it was that you were doing. I should have suspected and not told you to go and see Bill.”
“This is all in the past, Terza. We can’t do anything except try and keep our kids safe from Bill,” said Renzo.
“That horrible Acabar,” replied Terza, using Bill Acrebond’s criminal nickname.

A note from the author
"The different episodes of this book were projected to me, like movie clips during meditation sessions. I was compelled to visit a Shaman retreat in Cusco, Peru, and experience Ayahuasca to complete the manuscript. I hope you enjoy the results, the story of Kiki Coto." - Edward Avanessy
