Romantic suspense is one of my favorite genres, and this one is definitely one to get your heart racing with both parts of that genre. The story is full of danger and excitement, and it's combined with steamy romance. There's even some well-timed humor to balance things out. The characters are well-developed, and they have terrific chemistry, so it's not at all difficult to root for them. The storyline is more complex than I usually expect from an MC romance, but then, this is written by Christine Feehan, so good things are pretty much a given. I realize I've been vague, but I don't want to give away the book's secrets. That's something each reader should enjoy as they discover for themselves. What I will say is Recovery Road is full of intrigue, danger, and violence. It's also full of romance and some steamy goodness between characters that quickly get under your skin.
