Scoring the Player
Campus Wallflowers
By: Rebecca Jenshak
Narrated by: Jason Clarke & Erin Mallon
Valley U’s hottest QB has heard in detail how I want to climb him like a tree.
One viral video, and my life as a wallflower is over.
Felix Walters knows exactly how I feel about him—so does everyone else on campus.
It was supposed to be a private conversation between friends.
Now, I’m the butt of every joke, and everywhere I turn, all eyes are on me.
It’s every shy girl’s nightmare.
Except, now the hottest guy on campus wants to be my fake boyfriend.
Six weeks. Just pretend.
I’m a wallflower fake dating Valley U's hottest player.

If you haven't met Rebecca Jenshak's Campus Wallflowers, you are missing out. We're three books in, and while each one can stand on its own, I'd venture to say you'll want to read them all once you meet the characters. We do get to visit with the first 2 couples in the series, which I really like. (Don't worry! The books are still standalones, even with the crossover from one to the next.)
Scoring the Player is a fake dating romance, and if you've ever read that trope, you already know it's never actually fake, no matter how hard the characters insist that it is. Felix and Dahlia have an off-the-charts chemistry, and they certainly generate their fair share of steam. Of course, there are also plenty of laughs, which is no surprise given Rebecca Jenshak's talent. From the very first page to the very last, this couple kept me rooting for them. They're an adorable couple, and I loved seeing Dahlia come into her own and get past the shyness when she needed to.
Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon give voice to these characters, and the author couldn't have chosen any better for Dahlia and Felix. They bring out all the emotion of the story. Even the chemistry and attraction between the characters feels real enough to touch. Between the author's writing and the narration, Scoring the Player is another top-notch listen in the Campus Wallflower series.
