✱✱Book Review✱✱ Designed by Destiny by Maya Tyler

Confirmed bachelor Nicholas Grey is more than the playboy perpetrated by the tabloids. Now his position as CEO of the architecture firm Grey & Company is on the line, and his mother’s interference is making things more difficult. Nick’s committed to his work, but, in order to be taken seriously, he needs to land a huge project. A stable personal life will help guarantee the contract.

Fairy Godmother Faye Delmore hears Nick’s plea and steps in to help. Posing as a publicist, she suggests a strategy to polish his public image, which includes convincing Beth to play his wife. Faye knows Nick needs the huge project to save his job, but she also knows he needs Beth in his life.

What happens when you add a fairy godmother who loves playing matchmaker into the equation? A future designed by destiny.

Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐

This first book in Maya Tyler's Fairy Godmothers Incorporated series is a fun, fast-paced, fake romance love story. It's an interesting take on the fairy godmother story, and I wasn't sure about it at first, but Maya Tyler's writing and storytelling won me over pretty quickly. Technically, it's a paranormal romance, but I think contemporary romance readers would enjoy it just as much. The paranormal part of the story is kind of downplayed - we get a fairy godmother, but she's not the cartoon version we all think of.
Nick and Beth are really good together. They just have to get out of their own way for them to see it. The chemistry is good. and they're easy to root for. It just takes Fairy Godmother Faye Delmore to give them that nudge in the right direction.
I just realized that I've only read a couple of Maya Tyler's books, and I need to remedy that. As for this one, the writing is very good, the flow makes for a nice, easy read, and the romance is just what I needed for a lazy weekend on the porch swing.
