✱✱Audio Book Review✱✱ Her Scottish King by Theodora Taylor

Her Scottish King
Scottish Wolves, Book 2
By: Theodora Taylor
Narrated by: Lacy Laurel & Will Watt

One moon stand gone very, very wrong....

Magnus: All right, all right, I’ll admit I’ve always been a player in more ways than one. What can I say? Human women love to cheer for me—on the rugby field and in my hotel room after my team, the Edinburgh Rovers, has won.

But my player days are coming to an end. I need an heir—and fast—if I want to hang on to my title as king of the Scottish Wolves. I’ve already decided Tara Hamilton, my new sister-in-law’s best friend, will become my lucky queen. Just one snag in my plan, though...she feckin’ hates me.

All hope seems lost until I “happen” to run into her on a full moon night.

Tara: I have zero desire to serve as an incubator for that ridiculously arrogant Scottish alpha king, Magnus Scotswolf...or have anything to do with his backwater kingdom village.

Listen, I value three things above all else: my freedom, my life among humans in Edinburgh, and my fabulous wardrobe. No way am I giving all that up for an entitled a-hole with a kilometer-long hit-it-and-quit-it list.

My human understands I will never, ever let the annoyingly handsome alpha anywhere near me. But there’s just one snag...my wolf hooked up with his wolf during the last full moon when neither of our humans were looking.

Now...I’m pregnant with the Scottish king’s baby. What will he do when he finds out I’m carrying his bairn...and discovers the huge secret about my hidden past?

Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐

I liked the fire between Magnus and Tara when I listened to the first Scottish Wolves book, and the first one was so much fun, I was more than ready for this one. Magnus is still the arrogant king who needs that punch Tara delivered in book 1, and I just love him to pieces. Tara is a little bit different than I expected. but I still like her, and I still think these two are good together. Without going into too much detail about that, I'll just say that things progressed maybe a little too quickly between Tara and Magnus. That said, I still really enjoyed the book, and it made for a good way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Lacy Laurel and Will Watt give voice to the characters, and they do a great job with all of them. Watt uses a really thick accent for Magnus, and while it fits the character, it takes some getting used to. That's not a dealbreaker for me because once I did get accustomed to the accent, it added something to the story for me. The narration by both Lacy Laurel and Will Watt suits the story and characters very well, and I feel like Theodora Taylor made a good choice for the narration.
If you enjoy an entertaining paranormal romance, I'd suggest this one. There is a bit of a cliff at the end, and I'm definitely curious about that.
