...............

I made the worst mistake of my life when I was twenty-two.

I let love and fear destroy everything I ever wanted, and now I have a choice to make.

Run and hide or stay and face the consequences.

I’d always known I wasn’t allowed to love her.

I’d always accepted that I wasn’t allowed to keep her.

But that didn’t stop me.

I broke every rule and choked on every secret to have her.

The only problem is, those secrets aren’t just hunting me anymore, they’ve found me.

I can’t run.

I can’t hide.

For a moment, I had it all. I had all my dreams and the girl I would kill for.

But now, I have to pay the price.

I have to pay…

And I won’t survive.

A story that spans a lifetime. This book deals with dark, heavy subjects and it is advised you check the Content Warnings on the Author’s website.

Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you read Pepper Winters's Lunamare, then you know she left us with a bit of a cliff to think about. Cor Amare picks up where the first book leaves off, and it carries us on through this epic love story. It's impossible to read this duet without falling in love with this couple. I do feel like this one is maybe a little bit too long, but it's probably just me because I honestly couldn't say where to cut it down. It's just such an emotional story from beginning to end. Pepper Winters certainly has a gift for storytelling, and apparently, that carries over to choosing narrators because Tor Thom and Fiona Clare give excellent performances with the duet narration. To sum it up, The Luna Duet is a story of love that spans a lifetime, and while the drama and danger this couple faces may stretch the suspension of disbelief a bit, their love and devotion is something we should all be privileged to experience in our own lives.
