✱✱Audio Book Review✱✱ Relentless by Jade West

Relentless
Starcrossed Lovers Trilogy, Book 3
By: Jade West
Narrated by: Tor Thom & Desiree Ketchum

I’m an heiress with a broken past. It should have been the end for me, but now my mortal enemy has become my savior. He hides me away from the world as if he can save me.

Lucian Morelli is a billionaire who doesn’t know how to feel anything.

Except when he’s with me.

Love between a Morelli and a Constantine will never survive. The war between both families turns into an inferno, consuming the entire city of Bishop’s Landing. The world is soaked in blood. No one is left standing, not even the couple who vowed their final breaths.

I would sacrifice everything for the man I love, and I just may have to.

Relentless is the explosive finale of Jade West's Starcrossed Lovers trilogy set in the world of Midnight Dynasty.

Welcome to the Midnight Dynasty.... The warring Morelli and Constantine families have enough bad blood to fill an ocean, and their brand new stories will be told by your favorite dangerous romance authors.

WARNING: This book is intended for listeners 18-years-old and over. It contains material that some listeners could find disturbing. Enter at your own risk....

Momma Says: 3 stars⭐⭐⭐

The story is brutal and bloody, and the journey for Lucian and Elaine is as dark as it is delicious. That summed up my feelings about Soulless, book 2 in the Starcrossed Lovers Trilogy. Needless to say, I expected something explosive for Elaine and Lucian's finale, something to match the intensity of everything to this point. Unfortunately, I came away from this one feeling a little let down. Don't get me wrong, by the time I started this third book, I was invested in this couple, and I really hoped they'd get their HEA. What I missed was the tension of the rest of the story. It started out that way, but things just felt a little too easy, especially after all the buildup. After everything that happened, too many things didn't ring true in the end.
Tor Thom and Desiree Ketchum continue to give excellent performances, and whether there's good tension or bad tension, these two know their stuff. So, to wrap it up, I liked this final book in the trilogy. I didn't love it, and I had really hoped for more, but I liked it, and I'm glad I followed along on this journey.
