Momma says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐Needing Shianne is a great alpha-protector romance. Myles is an absolute sweetheart, and not just with Shianne. He just has that way about him, at least he does until it's time to not be so sweet. He and Shianne have some baddies to contend with on the way to their HEA, and Myles is all about ensuring Shianne's safety. She's a little bit high-strung, which is understandable given the circumstances. I really like that Myles watching over her isn't a source of angst for them as a couple. Instead, things just flow so naturally between them. They have great chemistry, and they're the type of couple you just want to see happy - the kind of couple that makes you smile. Then, we have the setting. Glen Hollow, Kentucky is a hoppin' little place that captures the feel of so many small towns here in the Bluegrass state. One of those places where everyone knows what everyone else is doing, and the town may be small, but the hollows and hills go on and on. So, if you're looking for a low-angst romance with some dangerous suspense, PJ Fiala has penned a good one here. It's a reasonably quick read, and it makes a good weekend read to fall into. I thoroughly enjoyed rooting for this couple, and I'll be anxiously waiting for whatever this author gives us next.
