✱✱Book Review✱✱ The Dragon's Omega: A Fated Mates Romance Novella (Deathless Gods) by Rhea Watson

When I left home on the eve of the summer solstice, I didn’t expect to learn monsters were real—nor did I plan on getting kidnapped by one.

A dragon, if you want to be specific.

A hot, wounded, furious alpha dragon who triggers a heat the moment I scent him.

Vidar.

He makes me weak. He makes me
burn.

I don’t understand it. Alphas rarely get a smile
from me, never mind an insta-heat.

Is this a fated mates deal, a rare and beautiful scent match?

Or has my first encounter with a
real alpha made me totally delusional and this—the way my body screams for him, craves him, needs him—is just embarrassing.

Either way, the pack courting me thinks my explosive heat is for them, and when I’m at my most vulnerable, they try to force our bond against my will.

But in the storm of flame and fury that follows, I learn the truth:

Tonight, the only thing that will soothe my heat, mend my broken heart, and claim my very soul—is fire.

Momma Says: 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Not just any old dragon - a sexy-as-sin alpha dragon who is totally swoony. Of course, I wouldn't expect anything less from Rhea Watson. The Evermore Omegaverse is a fascinating world, and after meeting Vidar and Lianna, I definitely want to visit again. The book is a quick read, perfect for a couple of hours on the porch swing with your drink of choice nearby. It may be a novella, but it's full of the great writing I love from this author. The tone, the flow, the word choice, and the imagination to create such terrific characters and the world they live in. Add that all together, and it equals the talent that is Rhea Watson, and it's just a start on the many reasons she's one of my favorites.

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It's always a surprise to see what's coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about Kindle
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.

About the Author

The urge to write first struck at age sixteen when working on a newsletter at a youth encampment in the woods of northern Maine. It may have been the wild night when lightning flashed at sunset followed by the northern lights rippling after dark. Or maybe it was the newsletter's editor, a girl with eyes the color of the ocean. But he was inspired to write about the blurry line between reality and the fantastic.

Using two fingers and lots of white-out, he religiously typed five pages a day throughout college and well into his twenties. Then life intervened. He paused to raise two sons and pursue a career, in the process -- and without prior plan -- becoming a well-known entrepreneur in the software industry, founding several successful companies. When he found time again to daydream, the urge to write returned.

David now lives in the Great Northwest. He no longer limits himself to five pages a day and is thankful every keystroke for the invention of the word processor.

Jonathan comes from a long line of sorcerers, and all his ancestors attended the Familiar Training Academy, where they were paired with shapeshifters. All seems fine for Jonathan until he discovers his familiar is a woman who can shift into a snake. And he’s supposed to bond with her?

Tamra is excited she’s getting another chance to serve as a familiar, especially because she’ll get to mate with her new master as part of their bond. Unfortunately Tamra just can’t follow rules. Any rules. Ever. When her rebellious nature conjures up evil from the school’s past, she and Jonathan have to jump in to reverse the disaster her impetuous nature’s caused this time.

Tamra smiled to herself as she slithered into the professor’s office. No one ever expected a snake, and because she was small, on the floor, and silent, her new charge -- supposedly her master -- hadn’t even noticed she’d entered the room. The guy was in for a big surprise.

The professor was just finishing his spiel for rookie sorcerers. “We’ve paired you with a familiar according to the questionnaires you filled out. It may seem an unusual match but be assured, you two are perfect for each other.”

“When can I meet her?”

“She’s here now,” the professor said.

Tamra took that as her cue to introduce herself. She wrapped her slender body around the leg of the visitor’s chair, climbed onto the seat and curled up in a perfect coil of brilliant scales.

The rookie jumped up and backed away about five feet. “It’s a snake.”

“She,” the professor corrected again. “This is Tamra.”

The guy obviously had a crappy attitude about snakes. This had happened before, more than once. Her last potential master had screamed and run from the room. The professor had been forced to assign a more placid animal to the man. A guinea pig, for God’s sake. Word on the grapevine was both of them were now miserable with each other. Served him right.

Anyway, this one wasn’t running, but he obviously wasn’t happy. So, she flicked her forked tongue at him.

“I assure you, Tamra is ideal for you,” the professor said. “We did a multivariate assessment of your personality and your needs.”

“And it said I needed a snake?” the man asked, his voice now a croak.

The professor folded his hands together on top of his desk. “Absolutely.”

Of course, no one had asked Tamra what she needed. The fact was, if she didn’t get a master soon, she might flunk out of this place, and she’d have to find another one. Schools for sorcerers and their familiars didn’t pop up everywhere.

The man started pacing. “There must be some mistake.”

The professor opened a computer file. “You are Jonathan Woodrow Dillson, correct?”

“Well, yes.”

The professor squinted at the screen. “Your father, grandfather, and uncles were all paired with familiars here, I believe.”

The man ran his fingers through short, dark hair. “Yes, yes, but…”

“They were all excellent students and went on to contribute to the field of arcane knowledge,” the professor said. “They all bonded with their familiars here according to our methods.”

The man slowly approached the chair Tamra was coiled up on. “It… she… can change into human form, can’t she?”

Well, duh. They wouldn’t be physically compatible if she remained a reptile. He’d never fit a huge, human cock inside her cloaca -- the one benefit of pairing with him rather than another snake. Forked penises were cool, but doing it with a human was lit AF. Or at least, that was the word around the familiars’ dorm.

“Of course she can change,” the professor answered. “All our familiars are shifters.”

“Then why doesn’t she?”

They both stared at Tamra, expecting her to perform for them. The professor had already warned her about her Bad Attitude. She was going to make nice with the rookie eventually. She might as well start now. So, she concentrated on her human form -- size, arms and legs, hair, her face -- and in a moment, she was sitting, naked, in the chair next to the one the man had jumped out of.

He jumped again, though not as far this time. “She’s naked.”

She wasn’t going to explain the obvious to him, so she gave the professor an expression that said, “Really? This guy?”

The professor ignored her. “She has clothing waiting in your rooms.”

“Of course.” The man sat back down and avoided looking at her.

“Introduce yourself, Tamra,” the professor said.

“I’m Tamra. I’ll be your familiar today,” she said.

The professor lifted an eyebrow in warning, so she extended a hand toward the man. “I’m Tamra.”

The man shook her hand but avoided looking directly at her. “I’m Jonathan. Good to meet you.”

“Splendid.” The professor clapped his hands together. “I just knew you two would get along swimmingly.”

Lesser Known Travel Tips Series by Yeats Virtual Book Tour

 Guest Post

10 things most people don't know about you

1. I have nearly been killed 8 or 10 times. I have lost track. I chronicle most of the incidents in my memoirs but have never gone back and done an accurate tally.

2. I once ate 53.5 tacos in a single sitting.

3. I was seriously madly in love with Agnetha Fältskog from ABBA when I was a young boy.

4. I am the most dedicated father in the entire world. I can and have moved mountains for my son. Well, I have made completely paralyzed people walk again for my son.

5. I have made 40 completely paralyzed people walk again.

6. I consider my father to be the greatest human in the whole world.

7. I have zero empathy. Really, I have none. There is nothing someone could have been through, or is going through that I cannot turn around and say, oh you think that is bad, have you ever had to endure this…. And not have the person immediately feel like their problems are a mosquito bite.

8. I have had mental health struggles that have pushed me to the brink. Happy to talk about them. Do not in any way feel embarrassed about them, and in fact would absolutely be disgusted with myself if I did not openly talk about them and feel like I was not helping any person that also has to deal with mental health issues and thinks they are the only one.

9. I always only give nine answers to a question where I am asked to name ten things. Because that is the type of thing that James Dean would have done, reject conforming to authority.

10. Please read 9.

The Lesser Known Travel Tips memoirs are a hilarious series of travel misadventures and dubious personal introspection by Australian author Simon Yeats, who from an early age learned that the best way to approach the misfortunes of this world is to laugh about them.

Simon shares his comedic insights into the unusual and uproarious elements of living life as an Aussie ex-pat and having a sense of Wanderlust as pervasive as the Spanish Flu in 1918 or hordes of Mongols in 12th Century.

From how to keep yourself entertained when unwittingly forced to watch 11 hours of live sumo wrestling in Japan, to surviving heartbreak in India at the hands of a French flight attendant, to 48 hours spent in Nepal that qualify as the funniest most gut wrenching travel experience since Captain Bligh was set adrift in the Pacific, to his unsuccessful attempts at avoiding going to a brothel in Thailand. From what to do when several people converge to rob you after midnight on a deserted Copacabana Beach, to how to save the Sierra Mountain Range from a wildfire outbreak due to a lack of quality toilet paper, to where not to go in Tijuana when trying to locate the origins to stories of the city’s mythical adult entertainment, to how to save yourself from drowning when caught in a storm while sailing off the California coast. From how to outwit the Italian police while trying to find parking in downtown Genoa, to how to negotiate exploring the Roman ruins of Plovdiv, Bulgaria while on crutches, to how to impress the German Mafia with 80s dance moves, to how to leave a lasting impression on a crowded bar in Gothenburg, Sweden after combining alcohol and antibiotics.

Simon Yeats has gone into the world and experienced all the out of the ordinary moments for you to sit back and enjoy the experience without the need to break a leg, contract Dengue fever, or rupture a pancreas.

Excerpt from How to Start a Riot in a Brothel in Thailand by Ordering a Beer and Other Lesser Known Travel Tips

My family’s most cherished vacation when we were all kids was a trip we took to the South Island of New Zealand in the southern hemisphere Autumn of 1980. All our relatives live on the north island where my mum and dad both grew up on dairy farms. So, we had already made a trip or two to Auckland in my young life. My parents had emigrated to live in the tropical heat and brutal humidity of the northeast of Australia before any of us kids were born and given a choice in the matter.

There are four of us in my family. An elder brother, an older sister, me, and a younger sister. Each of us is quite different in our personality and our interests. My older sister is the athlete. My younger sister is the diplomat. My brother is the brainiac. Me? Well, I tend to just sit back and let my siblings be in the limelight.

You can imagine me as being the little kid running around in the playground under a mop of red hair being extra polite with all the other kids and no one teasing me at all for having red hair. Something close to that.

But among me and my siblings, none of us ever stole a car and took off for a joy ride. None of us have ever been arrested by undercover police for trying to sell them synthetic crack cocaine we had cooked up in the basement. None of us ever got in trouble for mislabeling someone by using the wrong pronoun. I mean, sure, I once got in trouble for calling my headmaster the C-word, but, other than that small blemish on my record, I considered myself an exemplary student. Our mum and dad were amazing parents to raise us all so well.

We were a very content family growing up in the 70’s and 80’s while living in the sweltering pizza oven, otherwise known as North Queensland. What about central air conditioning? Oh, how entitled and twenty-first century of you to ask. Rubbing an ice cube across the forehead and asking my younger sister to blow against it. Does that count? Central air conditioning? No. There was none. Just like there was extraordinarily little to do in my hometown. Watching paint dry as a kid living in Townsville brought out the same level of unbridled fascination that I now see with adults viewing porn.

The reasoning behind there being nothing to do is obvious. It is not safe to do anything where I lived. Australian country towns are just holding pens for human beings surrounded by a natural species menagerie of death.

Simon Yeats has lived nine lives, and by all estimations, is fast running out of the number he has left. His life of globetrotting the globe was not the one he expected to lead. He grew up a quiet, shy boy teased by other kids on the playgrounds for his red hair. But he developed a keen wit and sense of humor to always see the funnier side of life.

With an overwhelming love of travel, a propensity to find trouble where there was none, and being a passionate advocate of mental health, Simon’s stories will leave a reader either rolling on the floor in tears of laughter, or breathing deeply that the adventures he has led were survived.

No author has laughed longer or cried with less restraint at the travails of life.
